Climb with us!
CRG Adaptive is for Paraclimbers, climbers with physical disabilities, and volunteers (able-bodied or physically disabled) who would like to learn more and participate in our climbing community!
Whether this is your first time climbing or you’ve been participating for your entire life, this is a great opportunity to have fun and connect with fellow adaptive climbers. Volunteers provide pointers and encouragement along with belay support. Participants must be age 18 or older. All skill levels and physical disabilities are welcome. Participants must register in advance so we know how many volunteers and what type of rigging systems to have on hand. We encourage independence, but if you need one-on-one help, that’s okay – we just ask that you bring someone to help assist our staff!
Disclaimer
This is a volunteer-led gym program solely focused on independent adults with physical disabilities. If you would like resources for programs that welcome children, people with developmental/intellectual disabilities, or other kinds of neurodivergence, please reach out to us via email.
Please email adaptiveclimbing@centralrockgym.com with any questions about getting involved with the program as a participant or volunteer – or view the schedule below to reserve a pass and come join us for an evening. During registration please fill out all information so that our staff and volunteers are able to properly meet your specific needs. We look forward to having you!
Volunteer
Are you interested in Volunteering? Our volunteers are not required to make a regular commitment to a certain number of weeks/days, but we are looking for people who are semi-regularly climbing at Worcester and who are comfortable spending time with adults from all walks of life – whether it’s college kids at 19, or globe trotting retirees at 80. Please email adaptiveclimbing@centralrockgym.com for more info or sign up to volunteer below.

FAQs
CRG Adaptive is designed for adults (18+) with physical disabilities who are interested in climbing, regardless of experience level.
Yes. We encourage independence whenever possible, but participants who require dedicated support should bring a caregiver, aide, family member, or support person to assist them.
Nothing! We can provide climbing shoes, a harness, and any necessary belay equipment, if you don’t have your own gear.
During registration, please share any relevant information so we can prepare the appropriate equipment and support.
You’ll check in, do any necessary paperwork and orientations, meet staff and volunteers, and spend time climbing at your own pace in a supportive environment.
We’d love to talk with you. Contact us before registering, and we’ll help determine whether CRG Adaptive is the right fit or connect you with other available programs.
