Summer Camp

Central Rock Gym Glastonbury is excited to offer week-long programming during summer break for kids ages 6 to 12. Geared towards all climbing levels, our instructors will provide a fun-filled week of fitness- both on and off the wall.

Your child will develop basic climbing skills, techniques, and kinesthetic training, through bouldering, top rope climbing, belaying, obstacle course challenges, team building games, and so much more. We believe climbing and movement training are great activities for your child to meet new friends, strengthen their self-confidence, and further advance their climbing and movement skills.

Our 2026 Summer Vacation Program will run from June 15th through August 28th.

Ages 6-12

Participants 10 years of age and older can be taught how to belay per coordinator discretion.

Children under the age of 13 will not be permitted to belay climbers at any CRG facility outside of this staff-supervised setting.

Climbers can register for class on a daily or weekly basis. We do NOT offer drop-ins for this program.

Additional Details

Advanced online registration is required! Please sign up by choosing an option below. If the session you are trying to book is full, you may email mclarke@centralrockgym.com to be put on a waitlist. Bookings for any full week or single day of camp will close at 3pm the Friday before. We do not accept sign ups after this time for the upcoming week.

Early drop off/Late pick up: We will do our best to accommodate planned early drop off or late pick up time for an extra fee. Please email mclarke@centralrockgym.com to schedule.

Please arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to make sure all documents and payment are complete.

FAQs

  • Non-Perishable Snack or lunch (no nuts or peanut butter!). We will take a snack break around 1pm, food is not provided.
  • Clean, dry sneakers
  • Water or refillable water bottle
  • Sweatshirt or warm layer
  • Socks
  • Climbing Gear (if you have it)
  • Kids should wear comfortable, flexible clothing (yoga pants, leggings, sweatpants, long gym shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, etc.) to climb in.

  • The climbing gear needed (including shoes and a harness)
  • A lot of fun and instruction!

  • Central Rock Gym Glastonbury required forms. Please complete these online!
  • We must have a Health Assessment Form on file for each climber. This includes a full immunization record and recent physical for each child. Their physical may be from the past three years if you do not have one from this year.
  • In addition, if your child must take any medications during their time at the gym or if they have an Epi-Pen or Inhaler, please complete the Authorization of Medication Administration form.
  • If your child has a special health care need or disability which requires specific care, please complete the Individual Care Plan form.

Please email copies of these forms to mclarke@centralrockgym.com, or deliver them to the gym on or prior to your child’s first day of classes

Summer Camp Cancellation Policy: Cancellations that are at least one week in advance will be given a full refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made within one week of your booking’s start date. Deposits are transferable but non-refundable. If your child cannot attend one day during the week, we do not do make up days.
