Spring Vacation Programs

Dates for 2027 are TBD.

Central Rock Gym Glastonbury is now offering a Spring Break Program! This program is a one week long vacation program for kids aged 6-12 years old. It is designed for kids of all climbing ability, whether it is their first time, or they are an experienced climber! Your child will develop basic climbing skills through bouldering, top rope climbing, belaying, as well as climbing related games and activities! We believe climbing and movement training are great activities for your child to meet new friends, strengthen their self-confidence, and further advance their climbing and movement skills.

Sign up below for the week or single day of your choosing. Registration for vacation programs can only be done online or by emailing our program director, Máire, mclarke@centralrockgym.com.

Ages 6-12

Participants 10 years of age and older can be taught how to belay per coordinator discretion.

Children under the age of 13 will not be permitted to belay climbers at any CRG facility outside of this staff-supervised setting.

Climbers can register for vacation programs on a daily or weekly basis. We do NOT offer drop-ins for this program.

 

Additional Details

Bookings for the full week or single day of vacation programs will close at 3pm the Friday before. We do not accept online sign ups after this time for the upcoming week. Please email Máire to inquire about availability for the upcoming week after this time: mclarke@centralrockgym.com.

Early drop off/Late pick up: At times we may be able to accommodate an early drop off or late pick up time for an extra fee. This often depends on staffing and may not always be available. Please email mclarke@centralrockgym.com to inquire about this.

Please arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to make sure all documents and payment are complete.

FAQs

Non-Perishable Snack or lunch (no nuts or peanut butter!). We will take a snack break around 12pm, food is not provided.
Clean, dry sneakers

Climbing Gear (if you have it)
Kids should wear comfortable, flexible clothing (yoga pants, leggings, sweatpants, long gym shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, etc.) to climb in.

  • Central Rock Gym Glastonbury required forms. Please complete these online!
  • We must have a Health Assessment Form on file for each climber. This includes a full immunization record and recent physical for each child. Their physical may be from the past three years if you do not have one from this year.
  • In addition, if your child must take any medications during their time at the gym or if they have an Epi-Pen or Inhaler, please complete the Authorization of Medication Administration form. If your child has a special health care need or disability which requires specific care, please complete the Individual Care Plan form.

Please email copies of these forms to mclarke@centralrockgym.com, or deliver them to the gym on or prior to your child’s first day of classes

Spring Vacation Program Cancellation Policy: Cancellations that are at least two weeks in advance will be given a full refund. Cancellations at least one week in advance will receive a refund equivalent to 50% of their payment. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made within one week of your booking’s start date. Deposits are transferable but non-refundable. If your child cannot attend one day during the week, we do not do make up days.
