Nerd Night

What is Nerd Night?

Nerd Night is a chance to experience a different side of the rock climbing community at CRG Fenway.

Whether you’re a certified Pokémaniac, MTG Master, twisty puzzle or Kendama enthusiast, or you express your nerdy side through a different hobby, Nerd Night is for you.

Discover others at the gym who share your passion and cut loose with an all-around, no holds barred celebration of nerdiness.

Keep an eye out for the return of Nerd Night this fall!

What activities are there?

For the inaugural Nerd Night on May 22nd we will be running the following events:

  • TCG Trade Night. Pokémon, MTG, One Piece, etc. Bring in your trade binders and get ready to show off your collection and wheel and deal with other collectors.
  • Magic the Gathering tournament. Friday Night Magic is coming to CRG Fenway! Bring your favorite Commander deck and see how you stack up against our community. (Last game starts at 7:30pm in order to compete! B.Y.O.Deck)
  • Beyblade tournament. Bring in your best competitive Beyblade X deck and duke it out in the Xtreme arena. (Must arrive and register by 6:30pm in order to compete! B.Y.O.Beyblades)
  • Kendama, Rubik’s Cubes, Yoyos, etc. Bring in your favorite fidget toy or twisty puzzle and share your passion with others at the gym.
  • CRG will keep participants fueled up with candy and energy drinks.
  • Participating in Nerd Night in any way will enter you in raffles, and winning one of the tournaments just might earn you a free month of membership!
  • We’re breaking out the VHS player and dusting off some classic anime tapes. Get ready to Catch ’em All and go Super Saiyan!

Depending on the level of interest in these events, or in events not listed above, we will add or subtract events for future Nerd Nights.

No climbing required! If you are not a member, you will need to purchase a Day Pass as the cost of entry.

Yes! Stay tuned for the next Nerd Night on the schedule and check back for future dates and specifics.

No need to sign up in advance! Just come down to the gym ready to trade, battle, or chill. Registration for the Magic and Beyblade tournaments will take place on site in the first thirty minutes of the event. Nerd Night is free for all CRG members and is included with the cost of admission for all non-members.

CRG is not responsible for any lost or stolen items at Nerd Night. Please do not bring valuable cards or items unless you are okay with a little bit of chalk and the risk that comes along with bringing them anywhere in public.
