A Foot-Free Comp!

Slip into your silliest socks, leave the climbing shoes at home, and join us for our annual Footloose! campus competition! Come swing around on some epic campus problems, push your dead-hangs to the max, and join us for more foot-free fun!

Footloose is an annual event that happens every year in June. Footloose 2026 will occur on:

  • We are accepting the first 60 participants
  • Last day for registration is the Saturday before the comp.

FAQs

Our cave will be set with problems specifically designed to be done using only hand contact; climbers feet may not touch the wall. Each climb is assigned a point value based on difficulty, and will also have zones that allocate a percentage of the maximum score for that climb upon establishing control of said zone.

Climbers can try each climb as many times as they like within the timeframe of the competition. The person with the highest overall score wins! The number of attempts will be used to break ties.

Bonus points may or may not be awarded for creative and wacky footwear.

If you are a CRG Member, yes. We will not be open to Day Pass traffic during the competition.

Yes, this competition will be open to competitors 13 years old or older.
