Central Rock Gym’s Family Climb Days are a fantastic opportunity to enjoy climbing with the whole family, it’s perfect for both new and experienced climbers of all ages. Come climb with our staff’s expert guidance and assistance.
Family Day includes:
Unlimited staff guided rope climbing, called top roping. Our staff will manage the ropes (called belaying) to allow climbers to climb our tall walls safely, while offering guidance to help climbers reach the top. There’s a wide array of available routes ranging from easy problems that are great for beginners to those that will challenge to even the most experienced climbers.
Bouldering is climbing on low walls with padded flooring beneath to provide a safe landing. Just like roped climbing, there are routes for beginner to expert climbers. Bouldering is perfect if you prefer to stay close to the ground or still have some energy left to burn after top roping. Our staff will be there to offer technique tips and tricks to help climbers rise to the challenge.
Want to learn how to top rope without a staff member? We’ll teach how to secure yourself to the safety system and how to belay a climber up the wall. Our beginning belay class covers what you need to top rope without staff assistance and become Belay Certified*.
Liability waivers must be completed for all guests. Minors waivers must be filled out by a parent or legal guardian.
* Introductory belay course is available for those 13 years of age or older
Not a private session notice: Please be aware family climb days are designed as a introduction to rock climbing for first time visitors especially; they are not a private group or lesson. Participants may be with groups of other participants and belay times may be limited based on availability and attendance. For smaller scale or private groups please see and reserve a Staffed Climbing Session.
