An incredible thanks for the support of many members who choose to stay active or contribute what they can during these times to keep our great team of staff employed and big member improvements like this. So many people reached out with kind words and support, it has been heartwarming in what has been an extremely uncertain and stressful time.

20- toe touches (each side-40 total)
21- leg raises (add ball in between feet if you have one)
18- roll ups (add a weight over head, shoulder press at the top is optional)

14- plank walk out with shoulder tap (start standing, walk out to plank, tap shoulders, walk back)
25-side obliques (each side, 50 total)
20-plank drops (in plank, drop down to elbows, every time you come up-that’s 1 rep)

Dear CRG Worcester Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I write you again during these unprecedented times. Since our proactive shutdown last week, the need for social distancing to prevent the rapid spread of COVID-19 has only become more important to our climbing community and society. While we cannot predict with any accuracy a date to reopen, we believe at this time that it will be no earlier than May 1st, and we will continue to stay in touch as the situation evolves.
Since our announcement last week, the community response and support has been overwhelming. It has been truly humbling to see our community rally around us by letting us know how much the gym means to you all. We have received emails, social media posts, and phone calls of support to affirm the importance of CRG in our members’ lives and for those positive words we are grateful. It is reassuring to hear that our members will be here for us while we’re closed, and are ready to rebuild our community fabric as we re-open.
CRG Worcester is an incredible place to socialize and connect with people. I personally miss the bonds and relationships that I have formed during the last 9 years. I sincerely hope you are able to stay connected with your climbing friends during this time; we all need that type of connection as much as possible.
As we mentioned in our last email, it is our goal to support the staff during closure, while paying rent, and other various expenses during this unprecedented time. This will also allow us to continue working for you while we are closed. Therefore, we humbly request, that if feasible, you keep your membership active or at least partially active for the month of April, so we can support those who most depend on us as long as possible. We want to emphasize and acknowledge that keeping your membership is an act of complete generosity to our community and a gift that is truly humbling to me and the staff.
We also understand that we are not uniquely affected by some of these hardships. If you need assistance, one of our team members has volunteered their time to create a simple guide for our staff who may be affected. Should this information benefit you or anyone you know that is adversely affected, please see it below publicly on the web.
If you cannot keep your membership during this time, we ask that you consider freezing your membership to reactivate your account in the future. This will also allow us to collect $10/month or any additional monthly amount specified via comments when activating you freeze. If you would like to terminate your membership, given the situation, we completely understand, and want you to know that we will not be charging any reinstatement fee when you return. All terminations will be set with an open ended hold for you to reactivate with no fee, at any time. We will keep you posted on our re-opening date and make sure that you get the same updates as everyone else.
Please stay safe and respect the guidelines for social distancing as much as possible so our local and global communities can re-emerge as quickly as possible. We have great faith in the strength of our climbing community, and we appreciate all the support and help in advance.

Manager Update 7pm 3.13:
The team is currently formulating our plan for the time we are closed. Updates will be blogged here as frequently as possible on this page and on our social media. Please know, it is my primary goal to ensure the well being & stability of all our employees, as well as the customer service of our members through this time. I understand fully that what you pay us for is a product and service, and for a duration during which we are unable to provide this fully.
Since we do not know the impact, true duration or outcome of many different variables, currently it is fruitless for both our staff and customers to attempt to make decisions or resolutions that may change from one week from now, two weeks from now and so on. Our team does not know the answers to many of the outcomes we will see in the coming weeks. We all know this is blue water territory for everyone worldwide, in every way imaginable.
With that in mind, I ask that you bear with us and hold off on any immediate inquires or changes. We are more than happy to talk about the closure -or your favorite everything imaginable has stopped working activity- and currently will have employees here both Saturday and Sunday. Though they will not have an explicit answer, we will be more than happy to listen and hear your concerns so that we can be aware of them and address them once we have a clearer picture. More to come and may we all come out on the other end of this health and economic crisis together.

Dear Members of CRG,
We are grateful for the incredible strength and resiliency of our community in the face of the current situation. While there have been no known cases of COVID-19 in our gym community, we have been struggling with the correct course of action given the nature of our sport as a community gathering space. We have decided that to ensure the health and safety of our community as well as the health and safety of the broader Massachusetts community, our business will be closing for 10 days starting tomorrow morning, March 14th. All classes, teams, programs are cancelled. We plan to reopen on March 23rd however we will keep you posted on any changes to that timeline. This decision was extremely difficult to make, however we are at peace knowing that we err on the side of health and safety.
What can you do? We want to ask for your support at this time by providing you with a few options. While our locations will be closed temporarily, we plan to continue to pay our amazing, dedicated team of full time employees, and still have an abundance of costs associated with payroll, health insurance, rent and utilities. We ask our members to support us during this crisis so that we can support our staff as best as possible. Therefore, if this closure lasts longer than ten days, we humbly request that you continue to pay your membership, or whatever portion that is possible for your situation. You may freeze your membership at anytime without penalty, however, we ask that you consider keeping your membership to support our staff and community.
While the business will be closed to the public for the next ten days, we will still have staff at the front desk during the day hours to answer questions and to sanitize the facility for our eventual reopening. Starting tomorrow, please call us if needed to address any questions or concerns.
We hope that you and your families are able to remain healthy and safe during this difficult and unprecedented time.
