Non-competitive teams offer kids ages 6-18 a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the sport of climbing without the pressure of competition and intense training of the more advanced climbing teams.
Our Non-Competitive Climbing Teams seek to provide kids a way to be more active by getting involved in a unique sport that is fun, challenging, and rewarding at the same time. In order to do this best, our Non-Competitive Team is split up into two groups: Climbing Club and Recreational Team. Each team is geared toward new climbers and recreational climbers alike who have an interest in participating in the sport and improving their abilities over time. Both teams are coached by our professional staff who create a fun and relaxed environment while emphasizing the fundamentals of climbing, such as warming up, basic technique, balance, strength training, mental strategy, and team building. These teams are guaranteed to introduce kids to others with their same level of interest, forming lasting relationships within our young climbing community.
Each season consists of 12 practices. Every child is allowed 1 make up class per season, which will occur during designated make up classes at the end of the season. Interested in trying the class out? We offer free trial classes before registration for each season.

***For the Fall Season all teams will be running at our climbing club pricing due to our inability to offer our normal longer practices for our recreational teams. Pricing will return to normal once we are able to offer our normal length practices again***
***Due to COVID-19 restrictions our Fall 2020 spots will be extremely limited. Priority will be given to those who were unable to participate in our Spring Season due to our closure. Additionally, we will not be allowing registrations for children under 9 years old due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19. - Groups will be capped at 10 kids with 2 coaches, maintaining our 1:5 ratio
- Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing at all times
- Time for hand washing/sanitizing will be built into practices
- Kids will be encouraged to use the liquid chalk provided by the gym in place of their own chalk
- Kids will be encouraged to clean/sanitize hands between climbs
- Kids and staff who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or who have been in contact with someone who has tested positive will not be allowed to participate until they have tested negative or have been symptom free for 14 days
- Kids will only be allowed to sign up for one practice per week until we are able to offer more spots
Our Climbing Club introduces kids ages 6-12 to the sport of indoor rock climbing. This team is all about the basics. It is designed by the coaches to provide young kids with basic technique, instruction, and climbing to enhance their knowledge of the sport. Sessions will include warm up exercises, stretches, both bouldering and top rope climbing, and plenty of games and activities. Ensuring a safe and fun time for all, this program is well-staffed with at least one coach for every five kids. Climbing Club is offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 4-6pm, and Saturdays from 9-11pm. To further inquire about the program please email Sofia Maluf (email@example.com).
Recreational Team 1:
This team is designed for children ages 7-12 who are of similar age to our Climbing Club group but desire a training program with a stronger training aspect. This team provides a great environment for more experienced climbers who are still learning, but want to push harder than climbing club participants. It is also a perfect fit for experienced climbers who are a little too young for our other teams or don’t want the pressure of competing in competitions. Sessions consist of a brief warm up, climbing drills to hone in on different techniques and build strength, and group workouts. Participation in this team is by invitation only. Participants are required to have participated in at least 1 season of climbing club before being invited to Rec Team 1. Rec Team 1 is offered on Thursdays and Saturdays from 4-6pm. Recreational Team 2:
Our Rec Team 2 is designed for teens ages 13-18 who both want to learn to climb and/or want to become better climbers. This team not only provides a great environment for new climbers who are too old for Climbing Club, but it is also a perfect fit for experienced climbers who are interested in learning more and becoming stronger without having to compete. Sessions consist of a brief warm up, climbing drills to hone in on different techniques and build strength, and group workouts.
