Come take our Intro Belay Class. Learn to ‘belay’; the method of holding a rope system for a climber to catch them if they fall, and learn the knots required to tie into a rope end as a climber.
Technique – Antagonist Training – Injury Prevention & Climbing Training
This class covers the common themes of climbing related injuries and educates climbers on training methods and best practices for avoiding injury. Offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, this class will typically last about one hour.
Technique – Footwork & Balance
This class focuses on the relationship between your center of gravity and base of support and how it pertains to your footwork. Offered on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, this class will typically last about one hour.
Technique – Movement & Efficiency
Climbing is about the balance and economy of movement. This class covers the basics of climbing movement as it changes over varying terrain. Offered on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, this class will typically last about one hour.
Technique – Hold Usage, Sequencing & Body Position
This class introduces the climber to various types of holds and how to use/grip them. Offered on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month and will typically last about 1 hour.
Lead Climbing Class
Learn our third and most advanced type of climbing offered in the gym. During lead climbing, one person uses a rope off the ground to belay for a climber who clips to the wall for safety until they reach the top.
