Family Yoga Day
Join us for a donation based yoga class for the whole family!
We’re holding space for two 45 minute yoga classes to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital, and one little boy in particular. Jacob was born with scimitar syndrome, a rare form of CHD, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, pulmonary vein stenosis, among other complications. He was inpatient at BCH for the first four months of his life, has undergone three major surgeries and an endless number of tests and procedures. Every dollar raised goes to the hospital’s Every Child Fund, fueling breakthrough research, family support programs, and vital services to help patients heal and thrive.
The class is a variation of Vinyasa flow – we will move slowly between postures, and all poses offered can be done standing or low to the ground. The aim of this class is to create an awareness of body movement, with lots of room for curiosity and play. You are encouraged to ask questions during class! We’ll work through several poses to gently move our spine, stretch our muscles and work on syncing up our movement to our breath. The class will emphasize exploring how different shapes can work for each body.
