Boulder Bash is a free 6 week event each summer during which climbers will have the opportunity to climb weekly sets to score points. A set of climbs will be completed by Monday evening of each week. Scoring will close on the following Wednesday to provide over a full week of projecting time.
The placards for each climb will be specially marked to indicate the week and number of points each climb is worth. Climbs must be completed “Clean,” that is, by establishing control on the start and finish of each climb with both hands. Climbers will keep track of the number of attempts each climb takes, which will be used to break ties. A witness must sign off on the climber’s scorecard when the climber completes their climb. Feel free to ask staff to be your witness!
Participants will record their top climb each week for the six sets, and their final score will be the total number of points for their top 5 weeks combined. (The lowest scoring week won’t be counted). Scorecards will be kept in a box at the front desk in alphabetical order. Staff will update a leaderboard throughout the competition.
At the end of the six weeks, staff will tally all the scores, and participants will be split into Women’s and Men’s Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Categories. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each category!
