Sliding Scale Membership

While we are committed to providing quality climbing access to the communities we serve, we recognize that for some our membership pricing can be a barrier to our sport. We have a limited number of Sliding Scale Memberships per month that we offer at a discounted rate.

*Not all CRG locations offer a Sliding Scale Membership.

About Sliding Scale Memberships

If you are interested in applying, please fill out the Sliding Scale Membership application below. The deposit will go toward the first full month of membership.

You can only apply for a Sliding Scale Membership to the gym of your primary usage. Your check-in history for the last two months must show that your primary gym usage is at the location you are applying for a Sliding Scale Membership. If your primary gym location changes following your accepted application, we reserve the right to change your membership back to the prevailing rate.

Sliding Scale Memberships include regular membership access and all membership benefits including:

  • Access to all locations
  • Free rental gear
  • Monthly guest pass
  • Free yoga & fitness (at participating locations)
  • Free climbing technique classes
  • And more!

The sliding scale membership does not include youth teams and programming.

As long as your membership is active, you will maintain the Sliding Scale rate for 9 months of membership. After 9 months you can reapply for further assistance if needed. Otherwise, your monthly rate will be increased to the prevailing monthly rate at your location.

2 weeks before the 1st of the month.

  1. Once applying, you must complete the membership sign-up by following the link sent in the confirmation email.
  2. Sliding Scale memberships discounts last for 9 months. After 9 months, the rate will increase to the prevailing membership rate.
  3. The deposit paid at sign-up will go toward your first full month of membership.
  4. Your membership gets you access to all Central Rock Gym locations. Your home gym is the gym you visit the most. If you begin going to a different CRG more frequently, you’ll be transferred over to that location as your home gym and lose your Sliding Scale Membership rate.
  5. If you applied for the wrong gym (not the one you visit the most), reapply to your local Central Rock Gym. Each location has a limited amount of Sliding Scale Memberships per month, and they are intended for use by that community.
