Our more rigorous competitive team is designed for advanced and dedicated climbers ages 7-18 who are prepared to condition themselves for the sport of climbing at the competitive level.
Our Competitive Climbing Team strives to instill each participant with a love for climbing and to recognize the sport as a fun, lifelong form of recreation that maintains health and provides a sense of adventure most other sports cannot. This team provides a great environment for those who are both interested in learning more and are motivated to become stronger, more technical climbers without competition being mandatory. Our team is coached by our professional USAC climbing coaches who develop training regimens consisting of advanced climbing technique, climbing specific strength training, injury prevention, strength workouts, and team building. Workouts will also be based on what season it is; bouldering is the focus from September through February at which point sport climbing starts and continues until June. Tryouts will also be held at the beginning of each of these seasons (fall, spring). While aiming to have fun, as the kids get stronger and grow as individuals as well as climbers, the focus on competing is ongoing as the teams train for local, regional, divisional, and national level USA Climbing competitions.

Our Competitive Team is for those who continue to get stronger, improve on their technique, and show they are committed to progressing to a more advanced style of training. Invite to join the Comp Team is through tryout or request through the coach. Coaches create a more intense schedule and workout routines focused specifically toward competition to further propel our climbers in the world of competitive climbing. Comp Team meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5-8 pm. Participants must attend all three classes per week.
