Our non-competitive teams offer kids ages 3.5 – 18 years old a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the sport of climbing without the pressures of competition and intense training of the more advanced climbing team.
Our Non-Competitive Climbing Teams seek to provide kids a way to be more active by getting involved in a unique sport that is fun, challenging, and rewarding at the same time. In order to do this best, our Non-Competitive Team is split up into three groups: Leaping Lemurs, Climbing Club, and Recreational Team. Each team is geared toward new climbers and recreational climbers alike who have an interest in participating in the sport and who eventually, upon improvement and desire to better their abilities over time, bump up to the next ascending level. All teams are coached by our professional staff who create a fun and relaxed environment while emphasizing the fundamentals of climbing, such as warming up, basic technique, balance, strength training, mental strategy, and team building. These teams are guaranteed to introduce kids to others with their same level of interest and form lasting relationships within our young climbing community.

Leaping Lemurs – Our Leaping Lemurs Program introduces kids ages 3.5 – 6 years of age to climbing while playing games and joining in group exercises! For one hour a week, Leaping Lemurs allows kids to explore all aspects of climbing, such as balance, strength, and technique while playing games which makes every session energetic and fun!
The Leaping Lemurs meet up on Sundays from 3:30-4:30 pm. Online registration is required. Please email our Youth Programs Coordinator Meghan Braley at email@example.com with further inquiries about the program and current openings.
Climbing Club – Our Climbing Club is a great way for kids 6 – 12 years of age to enjoy the sport of indoor rock climbing! Each session includes a combination of warm up exercises, stretches and climbing during various games and group activities. Kids will develop their skills on both top rope climbing and bouldering. Four separate 2-hour sessions of Climbing Club are offered per week. - Climbing Club 1: This session is best suited best for new climbers, between ages 6-12, who are brand new to climbing looking to have fun while learning the basics of climbing.
- Tuesdays 5pm – 7pm
- Wednesday 5pm – 7pm
- Thursdays 4pm to 6pm
- Climbing Club 2: This session of Climbing Club is best for young climbers, ages 9-12, who understand the basics of climbing or have an athletic background ready to learn more advanced climbing techniques and skills.
- Sunday 10am – 12pm
Recreational Team – Our Rec Team is designed for children ages 7-18 who want to take their climbing to the next level. Sessions consist of a brief warm up, climbing drills to hone in on different techniques and build strength, and group workouts. Rec team meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
