Climbing With Kids

The following considerations need to be made when bringing children into the facility to climb:

  • Children 12 years old and younger must be finished climbing by 6:00 PM on weeknights and 4:00 PM on weekends. We do not recommend booking a weekend check-in period any later than 2:30 – 3:00 PM for parties with children.
  • Children 7 years old and younger are not allowed to boulder, and can only climb via our autobelays.
  • Children 12 years old and younger must be actively supervised by an adult (18+) chaperone at a ratio of no more than 3 children to 1 adult. ***
  • Minors (17 or younger) must have their waivers and orientation forms signed by a Legal Parent. No grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents of friends, etc…

***Chaperones who are just chaperoning but are not climbing themselves do not need to purchase a day pass or make a reservation for themselves on weekend mornings.

Additional Things To Know

  • The prices listed on the Pricing tab is exclusively for the limited-access, reservation-only timeslots on weekends between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. On weekdays or after 4:00 PM on Saturdays & Sundays we do not require or take reservations, and access to our autobelays can be obtained via a standard Day Pass purchase. Day Pass pricing can be found HERE.
  • As a consequence of our restrictions on bouldering for children under the age of 8, we strongly recommend that groups with both children 8+ and 7- come with at least 2 adult chaperones; one that can supervise the 7- children in the autobelay area, and one that can supervise the 8+ children in the bouldering area should those children decide they want to boulder. Otherwise, as children must be actively supervised by an adult at all times, children who are 7- and share a chaperone with someone 8+ will have to stop climbing on the autobelays and sit/rest in the bouldering area until they entire party is ready to go back to the autobelay area.
  • If you have not been to a CRG in the last 3 years, we strongly recommend signing the three Waiver & Orientation Forms prior to arrival. If you are making a reservation, these can be access via the Sign Documents button in your confirmation email. If you are coming via a Day Pass, you can do so via the Required Forms button at the top of this page.
