We have a host of youth programs for all ages, starting with single day “a la carte” options to semester-long recreational and competitive meetups. The first three programs listed can be booked on a session by session basis, with no commitment after the session.
Staff Belay (4+yrs)
Sat, Sun 10:15 AM- 4:30 PM
This program will allow you and your kids to climb on our 40′ tall walls without having to learn the ropes and knots and such! Our staff will get you situated with all the climbing gear you and everyone in your party will need, and will ensure everyone has a fun, safe experience. staff belays you. Perfect for those looking for a private lesson without all the hassle of finding and scheduling with an instructor.
One hour staff belay: $70/hour per person up to a max of 2 people.
Private Instruction (4+ yrs)

Private Instruction offers greater flexibility in terms of participant age and scheduling than many of our regularly occurring youth programs, and can cover any aspect of rock climbing instruction; from the most basic for beginner climbers to advanced climbing technique.
One hour: Starting at $95/person
Adaptive Youth Climbing (6-11 yrs)
1st & 3rd Thursday of each month, 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
The Adaptive Youth Climbing meetups at CRG Riverside were created to provide an opportunity for children with disabilities to explore rock climbing. We hope to encourage and facilitate children with disabilities to spend time in a group setting with other kids while they discovering a new activity to enjoy. The sessions will be run by volunteers who have been trained in by the ParaCliff Hangers organization in adaptive climbing facilitation. Each session will be approximately 90 minutes long and will allow for the kids to get to climb on top rope as well as try some bouldering if considered possible by the lead volunteers at that time.
$15 per session per climber
The next four programs listed are semester-long clubs/teams with limited participant counts. These require prospective climbers to take part in a tryout session and receive an explicit invitation to join the program. Tryouts take place at the beginning of each semester. Visit each clubs/teams specific page to see information on how to join and to sign up for the interest list to receive updates regarding roster availability.
Climb Club (7-12 yrs)

Climb Club provides an active fitness experience and the opportunity for beginner climbers to further their climbing skills while enjoying climbing. Through games, creative challenges, and skill building activities, participants will learn basic climbing skills/technique, improve kinesthetic sense, and increase self-confidence.
Club Dues (2 sessions/week) + Full Membership: $284/month
Recreational Club (8-16 yrs)
Tue, Thur, Fri 4 – 6 PM
Sat 12 – 2 PM
Recreational Climbing team is for kids who want to develop their climbing skills further, allowing them to become better climbers. This team provides a non-competitive environment for climbers to hone their technical skills and grow within the sport of climbing.
Club Dues (2 sessions/week) + Full Membership: $309/month
Advanced Team (7-18 yrs)
Mon, Wed, & Fri 4 – 6 PM
The Advanced Team is for kids who have previous regular climbing experience and would like to gain more insight into what training for competitive climbing is like.
There are tryouts for this team. Strong youth athletes may be invited to be a part of the Advanced Team team when tryouts are not being held based on performance during an evaluation session by one of our coaches.
Team Dues (2-3 sessions/week) + Full Membership: $349/month
Elite Team (10-18)
Tues, Thur, & Sun 4 – 6 PM
Elite Team is for kids who are looking to take their skills to the next level in a structured, competitive environment. Coached by our USAC coaches, this team allows for individual climbers to train and compete in competitions from a local to a national level.
There are tryouts for this team. Strong youth athletes may be invited to be a part of the Elite Team team when tryouts are not being held based on performance during an evaluation session by one of our coaches.
Team Dues (3 sessions/week) + Full Membership: $399/month
