- All participants must be registered by 4:00 pm on the day of the event so we can have our roster and running order ready on time.
- On-Sight Club is geared towards climbers who can regularly flash V6 or higher for now. We may incorporate skill-based categories for future events as interest grows.
- There are no guarantees on how hard the climbs set for On-Sight Club will be. They could all be roughly around the same grade, or get progressively harder.
- Limited to participants 13+.
The First Rule of On-Sight Cub is...
Do not fall at On-Sight Club. That’s also the only rule.
On the select, fateful nights that On-Sight Club happens, our setters will have 4 climb set and marked for the event. Anyone who wants to participant in On-Sight Club brings $15 cash, all of which goes into the cash purse, and gets one “life” for the entire night. Fall off one of the climbs without sending? You’re out. Send all 4 in one go, and you (and anyone else who did the same) take home the purse.
Everything you need to know!
When?
- Nobody knows. The routesetting team’s ways are mysterious. You’ll know when we know.
- On-Sight Club will generally be announced with at least two weeks notice, at which point the calendar at the bottom of this page will begin to accept bookings.
- On-Sight Club will always start at 6:00 PM on the night in question, and will run as long as it needs to. Bedtime is a social construct.
How?
- All participants get one chance to send all 4 climbs.
- We will go down the running order (randomized), with all participants going through the first climb until everyone has attempted it.
- Those who send move on to attempt the next climb. Those who don’t are eliminated.
- Everyone who is able to send all 4 (or the highest number of climbs) splits the cash purse.
Cost
- CRG Members – $15 Cash Buy-in
