Central Rock Gym’s monthly meet up exclusively for BIPOC/PGM climbers! (Black, Indigenous, & People of Colour/People of the Global Majority) We invite you to attend and find climbing partners, new friends, and get climbing beta from those with similar techniques – whether you’re new to the sport or have been climbing for decades, we can all benefit from support on the walls!
Drop by the desk if you have any questions.
When: Every Last Thursday
Time: 7 pm – 9 pm (you can always stay longer or come earlier to climb.)
Cost: Free for members and $15 for non-members (includes gear)
What to Expect: This meet-up will be pretty lowkey. We don’t have any structured plans in place for this event other than providing a welcoming and inclusive space to climb. This is a great event for those looking to climb for the first time or for those who are looking to make new climbing friends. This event is geared towards adults and older teenagers 14+.
*If you have not yet visited a Central Rock Gym location please fill out a waiver HERE. Also, feel free to sign our bouldering orientation form. You will need to do it upon arrival if not done ahead of time.
Sign-up on calendar below! (This Calendar also provides sign-ups for All CRG Harvard Sq Meet-ups)
Is this your first time climbing? No problem! Welcome! When you come in for your first visit, we will help you get climbing shoes and provide you with orientations for bouldering. The orientation take about 5 minutes. We will make sure you are comfortable before you get going on your own. We also require everyone in the building to complete a waiver. Waivers can be completed online HERE. All you NEED to bring is clothes you’re comfortable moving around in – the front desk can provide you climbing shoes and chalk to supplement your day pass.
