Our non-competitive teams offer kids ages 4-18 a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the sport of climbing without the pressure of competition and intense training of the more advanced climbing team.
Our Non-Competitive Climbing Teams seek to provide kids a way to be more active by getting involved in a unique sport that is fun, challenging, and rewarding at the same time. In order to do this best, our Non-Competitive Team is split up into three groups: Leaping Lemurs, Climbing Club, and Recreational Team. In this order, these teams are geared toward new climbers who have an interest in participating in the sport and who eventually, upon improvement and desire to better their abilities over time, bump up to the next ascending level. All teams are coached by our professional staff who create a fun and relaxed environment while emphasizing the fundamentals of climbing, such as warming up, technique, balance, strength training, mental strategy, and team building. These teams are guaranteed to introduce kids to others with their same level of interest and form lasting relationships within our young climbing community.

Climbing Club – Our Climbing Club introduces young climbers ages 6-12 to the sport of indoor rock climbing. Divided into two sessions, one for ages 6-8 on Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm and one for ages 8-12 on Sundays from 4pm-6pm, this team is all about the basics. Each session is designed to provide young climbers with basic technique, instruction and climbing knowledge in order to enhance their experience of the sport. Our Tuesday 6-8 year old and Sunday 8-12 year old sessions are specially crafted by the coaches to meet the needs of the individual age groups. Sessions will include warm-up exercises, stretches, both bouldering and top-rope climbing, and plenty of games and activities. All participants should be willing to try both bouldering and top-rope climbing. Ensuring a fun time for all, this program is well-staffed with at least one coach for every five kids. Registration is required for this program. If you have any questions about the program or are interested in signing up mid-season, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Recreational Team – Our Recreational Team is designed for kids ages 7-18 who have advanced out of Climbing Club because they are strong climbers and/or have a desire to become better climbers. This team provides a great environment for those who are both interested in learning more and are motivated to become even better, more technical climbers without competition being mandatory. Used as a stepping stone to our Competitive Climbing Team, structured sessions consist of a substantial warm up, climbing drills to focus on different techniques and build strength, group workouts, and team building activities. Following the USA Climbing schedule, the fall climbing season is mostly bouldering, while spring training focuses more on top roping. This will ensure that kids who eventually advance to the Competitive Team will be following the same pattern as the climbing competitions. Rec Team meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:30-6:30 pm. Participants are expected to participate in both bouldering and top-roping activities. Participants may register for both days if they choose to. If you have any questions or would like to try out for this program please contact us at email@example.com.
Rec Team will not meet on the following dates: December 25th, January 1st.
