Our more rigorous competitive team is designed for advanced and dedicated climbers ages 7-18 who are prepared to condition themselves for the sport of climbing at the competitive level.
Our Competitive Climbing Team strives to instill each participant with a love for climbing and to recognize the sport as a fun, lifelong form of recreation that maintains health and provides a sense of adventure most other sports cannot. The team is coached by our professional USAC climbing coaches who develop structured training regimens consisting of advanced climbing technique, climbing specific strength training, injury prevention, strength workouts, and team building. Workouts will also be based on what season it is; bouldering is the focus from September through February at which point sport climbing starts and continues until June. While aiming to have fun, as the kids get stronger and grow as individuals as well as climbers, the focus on competing is ongoing as the team trains for local, regional, divisional, and national level USA Climbing competitions.
