Ashtanga Basics – Tuesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm & 6:45pm-7:45pmwith Anastasia E.In Ashtanga Basics we will review the fundamentals of the Ashtanga Yoga method which involve synchronizing breath with movement. The sequence will include sun salutations, standing, sitting & twisting poses, backbends and inversions from the Primary and Intermediate Series. When applied regularly this practice quickly builds strength and flexibility. The repeated sequence allows the practice to become a moving meditation by uniting the body, the breath and the mind. This is a vigorous class, beginners are welcomed and modifications are offered. It is best to practice Yoga on an empty stomach; try not eat at least 2 hours before and come well hydrated. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and safety protocol, we may take short breaks if needed. Location: Yoga Studio
