Whether you’re just starting out or looking to break into harder climbing, we’ve put together a series of instructional classes to get you on the path to progression! With 8 different classes that rotate weekly, each focusing on a different aspect of fundamental climbing technique, we’ll provide you with the skills to climb harder than ever!
- 1-hour long. Each month we’ll offer each class which can be taken alone or in series. We do recommend taking the first 3 classes listed, in order as a starting point. After that, you can take the other 5 classes when you’re ready!

- First Time Climber? We recommend trying climbing with the purchase of a Day Pass (no appointments necessary) before signing up for a technique class. A little prior exposure to climbing makes the technique classes much more beneficial!
HOLD USAGE, SEQUENCING & BODY POSITIONINGWith a focus on route reading and sequencing, this class introduces climbers to various types of holds and hold positions and how to most effectively use/grip them. This includes how to best position your body for maximum efficiency in hold usage. We strongly recommend you take this class first. |
FOOTWORK & BALANCEFootwork is one of the most important techniques that will help to improve your climbing. This class focuses on the relationship between your center of gravity, base of support and how it pertains to your footwork. We recommend you take this class second. |
MOVEMENT & EFFICIENCYhis class discusses the basics of climbing movement as it changes over varying terrain. Through instruction you will develop an understanding of how movement relates to the progression of your climbing. We recomend you take this class third. |
ANTAGONIST TRAININGThis class covers the common themes of climbing related injuries and educates climbers on training methods and best practices for dealing with overuse injuries and what we can do to help prevent them. This class can be taken anytime after you’ve completed the first three classes.

PROJECTINGEqual parts mental and physical exercise, this class focuses on a climber’s strategizing, or “projecting,” climbs that are at or above their max level. We will encourage climbers’ to analyze both themselves and their projects critically, providing beta as requested. This class can be taken anytime after you’ve completed the first three classes. We recommend arriving about a half-hour prior to the class to warm-up.

PROPRIOCEPTION & BODY AWARENESSProprioception is the awareness of position and movement of the body. This class focuses on helping climbers understand what their bodies are capable of, what their potential limitations are, and how to start moving with specific intent on the wall. This class can be taken anytime after you’ve completed the first three classes.

BALANCED & STATIC CLIMBINGThis class focuses on a slow, controlled and balanced approach to climbing with a stable core and lower body. Climbers will learn to trust their feet and engage the lower muscle groups, while exploring a variety of weight distribution techniques. This class can be taken anytime after you’ve completed the first three classes.

DYNAMIC CLIMBINGDynamic Climbing focuses on movements that require the generation and control of momentum to propel you towards your target hold(s). Climbers will learn about the varying usage of dynamic climbing movements and when to best apply them to the climbs you are on. This class can be taken anytime after you’ve completed the first three classes.
