Second of a 3 part Series: This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of the joints and muscles of the lower body. We will discuss their importance in supporting a strong, healthy body, as well as how they support the body through various yoga poses. Students will learn more about the anatomy of the muscles in the glutes and legs and how they can be stretched, strengthened, and engaged for stronger, healthier hips and knees. Learn more about what your body is trying to communicate to you when your hips and hamstrings are “tight.” Explore concepts of mobility and range of motion in a plain and practical way that you can apply right away to your home or gym routine. Personal instruction and technical feedback will be offered on how to keep your hips and hamstrings aligned and engaged in common and more advanced yoga poses, as well as strategies for injury prevention and recovery.
