We are seeking an energetic and organized individual to fill the role of Youth Programs Director at Central Rock Glastonbury.
Central Rock Gym exists to provide everyone with a world class indoor climbing, fitness, and community experience through our state of the art facilities, expansive climbing walls, cutting edge fitness equipment, professional yoga classes, and various youth programs and summer camps. It is through these many offerings that our CRG staff and members come together to build a community of climbers and friends. Central Rock Gym embraces its role as an integral part of the social fabric of all of our host cities and communities.

+One year in a camp counselor or camp director role, preferably two or more.
+Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Camp Management, Recreational Leadership, or similar program.
+Experience working in a climbing gym, specifically at the front desk and youth programs.
+Experience working with USA Climbing, or an understanding of the competition schedule and competition rules.
+Avid rock climber.
+Growing revenue from camps, youth programs, and teams.
+Managing all clubs, camp programs, and teams.
+Planning curriculum for all clubs and camp programs.
+Maintaining the rosters for all youth programs and ensuring billing is set up properly for each account.
+Working with coaching staff to move children up in the chain of youth programs (Camp > Club > Team).
+Working front desk.
+Supervising part-time staff.
+Training staff for climbing club, coaching and camp.
+Finding coverage for open birthday parties and special event shifts.
+Working with the general manager to create work schedules for camp/youth programs.
+Communicating (email, phone calls, face-to-face) with parents.
+Communicating with manager(s) and other staff regarding program updates and changes.
+Applying for camp license (annually).
+Attending inspection for camp license.
+Complying with all CT policies surrounding camps.
+Planning and attending Family Day and Open House events (about three to four times per year).
+Attending marketing events/tabling for youth programs advertisement.
+As with any upper management role, there will be additional unexpected tasks required, and the position will evolve with the growth of the facility and programs.
+Must pass a background check.
+Dedication to excellent customer service.
+Clear communicator with the ability to work well and empathize with others.
+$30,000 to $40,000 annual salary. Monetary compensation dependent on experience.
