CRG Adaptive is for Paraclimbers, climbers with physical disabilities, and volunteers (able-bodied or physically disabled) who would like to learn more and participate in our climbing community!
Whether this is your first time climbing or you’ve been participating for your entire life, this is a great opportunity to have fun and connect with fellow adaptive climbers. Volunteers provide pointers and encouragement along with belay support. Participants must be age 18 or older. All skill levels and physical disabilities are welcome. Participants must register in advance so we know how many volunteers and what type of rigging systems to have on hand. We encourage independence, but if you need one-on-one help, that’s okay – we just ask that you bring someone to help assist our staff!
For people who are not members of Central Rock Gym, we offer a special discounted rate of $10 per visit which includes a harness, shoes, and belay equipment. All proceeds from these visits go back into supporting the adaptive climbing program.
Please email adaptiveclimbing@centralrockgym.com with any questions about getting involved with the program as a participant or volunteer – or view the schedule below to reserve a pass and come join us for an evening. During registration please fill out all information so that our staff and volunteers are able to properly meet your specific needs. We look forward to having you!
This is a volunteer-led gym program solely focused on independent adults with physical disabilities. If you would like resources for programs that welcome children, people with developmental/intellectual disabilities, or other kinds of neurodivergence, please reach out to us by email.
